The Medical Assistant/CNA functions as an integral member of the patient care team; will provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the licensed nurse to meet the needs, comfort and safety of patients. Provide patient monitoring on the smoking deck, and one-to-one on the unit, groups and meal periods.
Qualified candidate will exhibit patience and compassion when interacting with all patients, visitors and staff. Ability to read, write, communicate and understand directions in English. Demonstrates accuracy in taking manual vital signs. EKG and Waive Testing experience helpful. Must have basic computer literacy. High School Diploma or GED required. Certified Nurses Assistant Certificate or Medical Assistant Certification required. Minimum of 1 yr experience in an institutional setting. Electronic Medical Records experience desirable basic computer knowledge required. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
All positions require a TST, MMR Titer, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening (including THC) and a background records check.
