Very busy urgent care practice seeks an additional physician to serve a well established and growing patient base and practices in the twin cities of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. Patient volumes average 40-60/day. The practice currently sees patients at four (4) office locations.
Practice model includes Advanced Practice Providers who provide double coverage at the busier sites.
Quick assessment and treatment is important in this fast paced environment.
Full time physicians work seven shifts per two week pay period. With this full time position, a physician has the opportunity to work extra shifts for additional pay if desired. Urgent care clinic hours are Mon-Sat, 8am 7pm, and Sun, 8am 6pm, rotating between four Urgent Care sites.
Compensation consists of base pay, productivity compensation and incentive pay based on quality metrics, and income from working additional shifts. Comprehensive benefit package includes a stipend that can be used to cover CME, association dues and memberships; four weeks of vacation and one week paid CME/conference attendance; paid malpractice, health, life, and dental insurance; and enhanced 401K plan.
A family medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics physician with quality medical training who has completed ABMS board certification is desired. If hired without board certification, a physician must be board eligible and must complete certification within six months of completing residency. Board certification must be maintained during employment.
OSF St. Joseph Medical Center includes a medical staff of over 300 physicians, 157 licensed beds, all private rooms, and a 32-bed comprehensive care center using a universal bed model approach with patients. This Level II trauma center provides medical, surgical, obstetric, intensive care, and post intensive care units; a full range of cardiovascular, neuroscience and orthopedic services; and a skilled nursing facility for those patients in need of transition from acute care to home or nursing home. OSF St. Joseph is a tertiary referral center for many surrounding community hospitals, and has a wide range of specialty services at our Bloomington campus.
